CEDIA Recognizes Meridian Training

By RS Staff, September 30, 2008

Austell, GA--CEDIA has approved Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for completing the Meridian Installation Specialist training program.

CEDIA has stated that a courses value in CEUs is determined by the courses description, learning objectives, and length; more important, it the CEUs count toward maintaining CEDIA certification. The CEDIA Continuing Education program ensures that CEDIA Certified Professionals continue to develop their industry and technical knowledge base.

Led by industry veteran Ken Forsythe, the Meridian Installation Specialist training program takes attendees on a two-day journey ranging through product history, installation how-to, and the unique Meridian PC setup.

According to the company, due to the success of Meridian Americas G Series components and increased interest in its DSP loudspeakers and reference 800 Series products, the company has ramped up its training program to take full advantage of its facility in Austell, Georgia. The 1,600-foot space includes a classroom, history room showing examples from Meridians 26-year history, a two-channel room, and a reference theater with DSP8000 loudspeakers and reference 800 Series electronics.

Meridian has been a longtime supporter and member of CEDIA, dating back to the inception of Meridian America in 1992," Forsythe said. "We have dedicated additional resources to improve our training program, and the recognition by CEDIA is the crowning achievement. Our program not only yields results in the field but provides our dealers with a vehicle to maintain their certification--a level of credibility that consumers demand."
