Longueuil, QC -- D-BOX Technologies Inc., a company know in the custom installation channel for its theater seating motion technology has added 15 more motion seats at the world-famous Mann Chinese 6 Theatre in Hollywood, California.
In an effort to meet high demand and prepare for the summer movie season, the Mann Chinese 6 Theatre, which was the first movie theatre to unveil D-BOX's Motion technology in April 2009, is installing an additional row of Motion Systems in auditorium six of its theater, bringing the total number of seats to 30.
Adding a completely new dimension to movie viewing, D-BOX's motion-enhanced seats are designed to provide a realistic, immersive experience utilizing refined, subtle movements that work in perfect sync with the onscreen action. Typically taking more than 300 hours of labor, D-BOX Motion Designers custom code each movie, frame by frame, designing an unmatched moviegoing event for audiences.
"The Mann Theatre in Hollywood was one of the first test markets for D-BOX's Motion technology," remarked Claude Mc Master, president and CEO for D-BOX Technologies. "It is thrilling to see the momentum and learn of the overwhelming response of movie patrons both in California and other markets. We are continuing to expand and launch new theatre sites including the latest two, Canada and Las Vegas, and anticipate similar successes there as well."

D-BOX is currently in five U.S cinemas -- the Mann Chinese 6 in Hollywood, California; UltraStar Cinemas in Surprise Point, Arizona; Mall of America Theatres in Bloomington, Minnesota;, Galaxy Highland Theatres in Austin, Texas and most recently, Galaxy Cannery in Las Vegas, and the first in Canada, Cineplex Odeon Queensway. These two latest locations are scheduled to debut to the public this summer.
