Westbury, NY -- Jay Minsky has accepted the position of managing
partner of digital sales group LLC, the rep firm started by Dave Silkin
of david distributors.
"This is such a great day for us" said Silkin, who remains group
president of david NY, david NJ, and DSG. "There is no one I know
of who is more qualified or whom I rather partner with on
this project. Both david locations and digital sales group are
growing very quickly. Having Jay take the helm at DSG I know our
customers and our manufacturers will get the absolutely best
service and that frees me up to do what I do best -- distribution."
Silken first met Minsky about 20 years ago while working as an audio
salesman at "Nobody Beats the Wiz." Minsky was his sales trainer.
"We've been friends ever since," Silken said. "We used to dream about
being partners and running our own company and now the dream is a
reality; I couldn't be happier."
In addition to his Management duties at DSG, Minsky will also manage several key accounts for david NY and david NJ.
To house this expansion, david and DSG just acquired an
additional 3,000-square-foot sales office and training facility located
in the building attached to david's Westbury, New York, location. While
that is being renovated Jay will be working from the david offices in
both Westbury and Pine Brook, New Jersey.
Minsky's career includes working as a product
detailer, then VP
of sales, for the New Hope Corp. He has won
several Individual Rep of the Year Awards, including Sim2 Rep of the
year 2005, and Onkyo Individual Sales Rep of the year 2007, during his
tenure at The New York Marketing Team.
