Resi Awards Seeks Entries by End of May

New York, NY -- Residential Systems magazine is sponsoring its fifth-annual Resi Awards competition to honor the most innovative residential electronics product industrial designs. An expert panel of dealers and industrial design professionals will judge this year's entries based on the external aesthetics, ergonomics, and manufacturability.

Residential Systems editorial director Jeremy Glowacki noted that the Resi Awards provide the only recognition for product industrial design in the custom installation channel. "I'm proud to say that we're the only publication honoring manufacturers specifically for the great care that they take and expense that they make in bringing high-quality and visually stunning products to market," he said. "For companies that understand what consumers really want from their AV gear, this award stands out."


Entries are due May 23. An entry fee of $250 is required for each nominated product. Late entries received after May 23 and up until May 30 will cost $350 each. Entries received after May 30 will not be accepted.

Please note that each form is only accessible for one complete session, so it would be wise to preview the questions first and save your answers in a separate document first.

An entry must include at least two distinctly different photographs (JPG or TIF at 300 DPI) of your finished product or product family. Exploded-view design drawings and schematics can serve as supporting visuals for your entry, but may not replace the finished product photos requirement.

To be eligible, nominees must be exhibitors of CEDIA EXPO 2008, and their nominated products must ship to dealers by July 16, 2008 (or they will be disqualified), and must not have been submitted for Resi Awards consideration prior to 2008.

Finalists will be notified July 16, and category winners will be announced at the Resi Awards Reception at CEDIA EXPO 2008, September 3, in Denver, Colorado. Finalists also will be featured in the August issue of Residential Systems magazine and winners will receive additional editorial coverage in the October issue of the magazine.
